SEROLOGY
Serology testing specifically studies serum and body fluids to diagnose infections with bacteria, fungi or viruses that are difficult to detect by other methods. The serological test observes fluids or serum under the microscope to identify antibodies formed in response to an infection. Radial immunodiffusion (RID) or single radial immunodiffusion (SRID Immunology) can be cited as one of the major serology techniques.
